Aims & objectives

To develop the skills of youth leaders and multipliers to apply Living Library as non- formal educational method in their work with young people based;
To raise the awareness of discrimination and Antigypsyism and their negative consequences to Roma young people that led them to social exclusion;
To exchange and share realities about the marginalization and social exclusion faced by Roma young people from different European countries;
To promote tolerance and respect for human rights;
To initiate/organize youth projects in their local realities and to engage in local and European institutional channels of decision-making.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

This project brings together 22 youth leaders, workers, multipliers, trainers and volunteers from over 11 different countries.
BULGARIA, MACEDONIA, ROMANIA, HUNGARY, ITALY, LITHUANIA, SLOVENIA, TURKEY, FRANCE, CZECH REPUBLIC

The team was composed by one trainer from Czech Rep (Eva Havlickova) and one logistic support person.

Training methods used & main activities

Debates, workshops, study visits, interviews and meetings with Roma community, open activity at secondary education school, video-forum, games and in particular "Human library".

Outcomes of the activity

Better understanding of the Roma community, better quality of youthwork in each country in the field of inclusion of Roma Youth. Discovering the Human Library tool.

I was full-time trainer.

I worked on this training for 5 days as a full time trainer.
