The training activity took place
in Bitola

Aims & objectives

The trainings objectives and the goals that we want to achieve in the training were meeting with our yearly priority which was leadership especially for youth leadership and social leadership.
The main objectives here:
- Straightening the leadership capacity in the organization
- To acquaint participants with different definitions of leadership;
- Putting the leadership as a life style of the youth
- Leadership knowledge in the society and its basics
- support participants in building confidence in their leadership potential and assisting personal self-development of leadership competencies
All of them were achieved in the training course which was held in the mountain near Bitola for 4 days with 22 participant from 4 countries. To have a diverse group by age, culture and experience was aimed and we reached.
The methods were non-formal learning based, providing input for different learning styles and needs.
The training fit the organizational goals because one of our aim in giving the importance of the firefighting is the leadership in the work of every firefighter.

I was the only trainers running this training I gave inputs mainly on intercultural learning, problem solving, leadership levels, what leadership is, what we can improve in our society, brainstorming ( how can we use it)etc.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

We had a great team of participants in our projects, 22 participants from 6 countries. half of them were from Macedonia and half of them from Sweden, Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia and Poland.
We aimed at experienced leaders to be participants from international organization and new volunteers from the local organization so the leaders can show them and explain how it is to be a leader.
All the participants but also the organizers of this training course showed a great diversity. Not only by nationality were they diverse, but also by their belonging to different professional (teachers, social workers, activist, volunteers, etc.) and minority groups.


Training methods used & main activities

All working methods and activities aimed at fostering intercultural learning and exchange between participants from different backgrounds. The training methodology was based on non-formal educational methods. First we tried to create a safe environment to share, allowing everyone to participate on an equal basis. After that we made a team building games and icebreakers in order to make the group more linked. Next days we used a lot of non-formal methods such as, short presentations, practical exercises, group activities, debates, skills-development workshops on cultural awareness, self-assessment, improvement of key competences, sharing ideas and project planning, cultural presentations and outdoor activities which encouraged participants to discuss and share views and opinions about the project’s topic.

Outcomes of the activity

The main outcome of the training was building future leaders, people who will have confidence in their leadership potential and assisting personal self-development of leadership competencies. All the participant learned how to find the leader in themselves. But also we suicide in empowering participants with practical skills in decision-making, good communication, group dynamics, negotiation, problem-solving, crisis management and conflict resolution.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team


I was i full-time trainer but also I was included in every part of this project from writing, preparation implementation and evaluation of the project. The most important task was to facilitate the learning process and the group development.

I worked on this training for 4 days as a full time trainer.
