Aims & objectives

"Eastern Express" training course aims at rising quality of Youth Exchanges within Action 3.1 of Youth in Action (YiA) Programme, in cooperation between Programme and Eastern Europe and Caucasus (EECA) countries.

Objectives:
Create opportunities for building partnerships (through creating trustworthy relations);
Increase knowledge about essentials of Youth in Action and 3.1 in particular (aims, priorities and formal criteria);
Increase understanding of quality demands of the youth exchanges with special attention to active youth participation.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

EASTERN EXPRESS TC brought together 31 youth workers from Programme Countries and EECA region.
The training team was composed of three professional trainers from Estonia, Armenia and Spain with experience in Youth Exchange Project Management and cooperation with EECA Partner Countries as well as knowledge of the European Community Youth in Action Programme, in particular Action 3.1.

Training methods used & main activities

During the TC we used non-formal education methods encouraging participants to active participation and planning future projects.

Outcomes of the activity

Participants learnt and put into practice quality elements in Youth Exchange projects within the whole project management cycle of a Youth Exchange activity with the EECA region. The main outcome of the training course was the creation of 8 workgroups with the development of 8 projects.
