TC DARE

The training activity took place
in Struga, Macedonia
organised by VCB
28.03.2013 - 05.04.2013

Aims & objectives

The training course is based on the idea of creativity and entrepreneurship and aims to promote among youth methods of developing their own ideas of business. Another aim of the project is to overpass different types of boundaries and stereotypes among young people.
By working together and share each other their culture we hope to find ways of over-passing this stereotypes and arm the participants with methods of good practice in
this field that they can promote back home. By having participants from countries with different cultures and religions, different social background we hope to create
an environment where we can develop solidarity and promote mutual understanding.
The idea of this project took shape on a project with the YIA where all of the participants expressed their desire to participate in a training course on entrepreneurship, ideas that were sketched together within that project. From this idea we started to contact and co-opt partners interested in this topic, selecting them based on their experience but also the motivation to get involved in this project. Then each partner has made a study on the necessity to inform the local community on youth entrepreneurship and the kids express interest for this concept. It was found that there is great interest among young people on entrepreneurship, but most do not have enough information about this concept.
Entrepreneurship refers to an individual's ability to put their ideas into practice. This training course aims to provide participants the tools necessary to think creatively to solve problems and occurred during the implementation of the idea in an effective manner. The methods used in this course (information sessions, business games, simulations, visits to companies, etc.) want to give participants a better view on the concept of entrepreneurship and its benefits. So we want them to be aware and familiar with every phase alleged entrepreneurship, namely innovation, creativity, calculated risk taking and ability to induce them to plan and manage projects to achieve the objectives. The other training aim was to develop employability skills.
