“T.C.-Youth exchange group leadership – Ensuring learning effectiveness and safety”

Aims & objectives

The project, aimed at creating a long term, substantial educational experience for youth exchange group leaders towards the maximization of learning and minimization of risk for the young people they will be leading in the future, and through these, at increasing the recognition of their role as learning facilitators/educators.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

24 participants from 9 different countries (Austria, Romania, Hungary, Latvia,Estonia, Germany, Greece, Ireland and Portugal), that had at least one experience in leading a youth group abroad for a youth exchange project realized under the “Youth in Action” program

Training methods used & main activities

Methodology used was based on non-formal learning such as:
Simulation games, multimedia presentations, lectures, team activities.

Outcomes of the activity

After the project, participants should participate as group leaders to a youth exchange! They all came back to a consolidation seminar 9 months after to share experiences and good practices!
