Aims & objectives

Summer University is the flagship project of AEGEE.
SUPS (Summer University Project School) aims at training Summer University organizers/coordinators on team management, group dynamics, logistics and financial management, fundraising, communication. Since the scope is so wide and the time so limited, 12+ working hours a day are actually happening.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

We were 4 trainers (2xItaly, Brazil, The Netherlands). We had 26 participants from Italy, Spain, Germany, Ukraine, Croatia, Hungary and Poland.

Training methods used & main activities

Mostly flipcharts+mocas with several grades of somatic activities involved, scene plays. A 4 hours long Case Study simulating the whole process of organizing a 2 weeks long Summer University was run.

Outcomes of the activity

A detailed evaluation form showed clear improvements in the areas addressed by the course. Moreover, 95% of the participants has joined the organizers team of a Summer University in their locals.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I performed as project coordinator and full time trainer, managing the trainers' schedule, keeping an overview of the local organizers' activities and developing+delivering part of the sessions myself.

I worked on this training for 4 days as a full time trainer.
