Aims & objectives

- Promote the acquisition of practical and theoretical skills in social and socio-educational support for young migrants and refugees
- Allow sharing and discussion of best practices;
- Creation of a network of volunteers to support the target audience.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Target group was 1 youth workers and 2 youth leaders each from 6 countries: Italy, Bulgaria, Portugal, Turkey, Greece and Cyprus.

Training methods used & main activities

The main activities were:
M.O.R.E. - Mediation on Responsibilities and Exploitation, an educational tool created by me and Desiree to reflect and debate on the roles of each stakeholders involved on the situation of immigrants in Europe.
Cultural Conflict - an educational tool to reflect and debate on the cultural differences.
Cultural Iceberg - Debate on what it made the culture.
Idea's Market - a workshop to create and exchange ideas of activities to develop in each communities.
Erasmus+ house and networking - a workshop to explain graphically the Erasmus+ program and start the creation of networking with new ideas proposal.

Outcomes of the activity

The participants increased the ability to develop mentoring for young migrants and refugees.
They exchanged ideas and good practices of educational tools to increase awareness of each stakeholders involved in the situation of migrants and refugees.
They increased the skills of cross cultural communication and they increased the competence of how to develop a sense of solidarity, strengthen multicultural dialogue and strengthen relations among youngsters.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

My task was to facilitate the process of learning during the training course and to deliver qualitative the workshops during all the week.

I worked on this training for 8 days as a full time trainer.
