Training methods used & main activities

1. Brainstorming: A method in which participants generate ideas on a specific topic without judgment. It is useful to stimulate creativity and generate new perspectives.

2. Role-playing: This technique involves participants in playing specific roles to simulate real situations. It is effective for practicing interpersonal skills and developing empathy.

3. Practical workshops: Hands-on activities that allow participants to directly experiment with the concepts discussed. For example, scientific laboratories or practical programming exercises.

4. Game-based activities: Games or play activities incorporating learning elements. They can include quizzes, educational board games or online simulations.

5. Discussion Groups: Structured sessions where participants discuss a specific topic, share opinions and learn from other participants.

6. Group projects: Activities involving participants in working together to complete a project. This promotes teamwork, problem-solving, and collaborative learning.

Outcomes of the activity

For an international gender training course, there are many activities that can be implemented to promote awareness, stimulate discussion and encourage active learning. Here are some examples of activities that could be successful in such a context:

1. Case study analysis: Provide international case studies illustrating gender-related challenges and successes in different contexts. Participants can examine cases, identify key factors and discuss them in groups.

2. Role simulations: Create scenarios in which participants assume gender-related roles, such as business managers, politicians or activists. These simulations can help you understand the power dynamics and challenges that people face based on gender.

3. Guided discussions: Organise structured discussion sessions on specific gender-related issues, such as pay differentials, access to education or gender-based violence. Provide readings or resources to stimulate discussion and encourage discussion.

4. Interactive workshops,Conduct practical workshops on topics such as effective communication, inclusive leadership or negotiating gender inequalities. These workshops may include practical activities, role-playing exercises and strategies to address gender challenges in the professional context.

5. Lectures and testimonies: Invite experienced speakers or people with direct gender-related experiences to share their stories and perspectives. Lectures and testimonials can inspire participants and provide valuable insight into complex gender issues.

6. Collaborative projects, Divide participants into groups and assign them collaborative projects on issues related to gender, such as designing initiatives to promote gender equality in their own community or organization.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I played the role of trainer, with a team of 3 senior trainer and 3 trainer junor, a logista, and a support to the preparation of activities.
In addition to being a trainer for the initial team building, I focused on supporting the participants in the development of their ideas about the problems encountered.
In particular, I used the tools of graphic facilitation to facilitate the exchange of information and the internal evolution of training. I followed all the graphics produced by the groups and participated in the construction of a toolkit again on line al link:
