Aims & objectives

The "Solidarity with Ukraine" event was focus on critical issues related to international youth cooperation with Ukrainian youth organisations in the period of unprovoked and unjustified Russian military aggression against Ukraine:

1) Exchange of practices of international youth cooperation with Ukraine since the period of war;

2) The issue of war trauma for young people - how to work with them and talk about war, about European ideas, about the value of European integration and joint actions;

3) Support for the sector and youth workers who work with young people with refugee experience;

4) Education for peace and reconciliation - under which conditions it is possible to conduct.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Representatives of NGOs who has (or would like to have) experience in some Erasmus+ or ESC-activities, looking for cooperation with Ukrainian organisations to support young Ukrainians and expand the network of international contacts.
Most of the participants were Ukrainians from Ukraine (or other European countries), but we also have Polish, Latvian, Dutch, Italian NGOs.

Training methods used & main activities

We use:
- work in small groups,
- debates,
- visits to different organisations and city hall,
- brainstorming,
- simulation game,
- individual reflections,
- world cafe,
- human library.

Outcomes of the activity

Participants learn more about opportunities to cooperate in frame of Erasmus+, ESC and European youth foundation, establish new partnerships.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was fully invoved in development whole program and some specific sessions (for example, about trauma informed youth work in specific working with Ukrainians)

I worked on this training for 3 days as a full time trainer.
