Main aim of this project was to present and enhance visibility of the Youth in Action programme in South East Europe and to allow young people with fewer opportunities and organizations to gain knowledge and competencies, focusing on training of multipliers and on the development of future partnerships, networks and projects.
This training course aimed to involve the participants into intensive process of intercultural non-formal learning, where they gained detailed knowledge of the programme, learned and shared cultures and way of living, upgraded their personal capacities and what’s most important at the end of the project they came up with initiatives and created projects that represented final products of the training course in which young people with fewer opportunities will be involved.
Trainers team have presented to participants four the main priorities in Youth in Action Programme as a cultural diversity, inclusion of young people with fewer opportunity, active participation of young people and European citizenship.
In the period of 5 working days participants from 9 countries practiced non-formal learning, learned and promoted all important aspects of the YIA programme and created and submited two projects for the deadline under YIA programme.
Projects that are made focusing on active participation and inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities in the society combating all prejudices and stereotypes and promoting intercultural dialogue and cultural diversity.
Also, with training activities trainers achieved their aim to motivate and educate participants to realize own cooperation and activities on international and intercultural level within Youth in Action Programme.
This training course promoted intercultural dialogue, cultural diversity, European awareness and values that helped participants to develop their own personality.
Direct target group of this training course were young participants, representatives of youth organizations (youth workers, youth leaders and people that are actively involved in youth work activities) from the region of SEE and from EU with different level of knowledge in Youth in Action Programme.
In total 30 young people from 9 countries have participated in this training course. The participants were from Albania, Serbia, Italy, Croatia, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Portugal and Poland.
Training activities that trainers used in this training course were combination of informal learning and non-formal education methods. The working methods of this training course were name games, energizers, team building games, different educative workshops and exercises that are promoting social inclusion, simulations, role plays, inputs, individual and small group presentations, discussions in plenary, study visit, NGO fair of partner promoters, best practice projects presentations and creating the concrete project ideas in small working groups.
On this training course 30 young people from 9 countries learned how to create and implement projects in the Youth in Action Programme and how to promote social inclusion in Europe.
After five working days of this training course as a result we got developed some ideas and prepared project proposals with concrete topics that will participants apply for the next deadline in Youth in Action Programme.
Youth Council Prilep (http://www.ycp.org.mk/web/) from 21.01.2011 until 26.01.2011 has organized international training course in Ohrid,Macedonia. The project "Social Inclusion - YES WE CAN!" supported by European Commission and Youth in Action programme.
I was trainer in the team of trainers. For this training course were active two international trainers from Serbia and Macedonia.
Our main role was to introduce participants with Youth in Action Programme and promote the concepts of non-formal education involving the participants actively in the prepared programme.
Also, team of trainers have created positive working atmosphere for participants to make contacts and to work on developing their ideas for the future cooperation.
