The main aim of the project was to provide youth workers with the competencies on how to integrate skills for the future (critical thinking and creativity) with their work with young people.
The main objectives of the course:
- To explore the concepts of critical thinking and creativity
- To provide youth workers with tools how to use skills for the future in their daily basis work with young people
- To create new methods of transmitting the skills to the target groups
The target group of the activity were youth workers coming from 11 different countries: Bulgaria, Cyprus, France, Hungary, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania and Turkey.
The methods used in the project were based on non-formal methodology: juggling, discussions, simulation games, open space technology, role-plays, drama, team-building.
The youth workers taking part in this training have successfully designed (under supervision of the trainers) and implemented interactive, non-formal workshops for students in a local high school in Zakopane, raising their awareness about the skills for the future.
My responsibilities were:
- to lead at least one session every day (topics: critical thinking, creativity)
- to support other trainers in preparation of materials and delivering activities
- to lead every-day reflection groups
