Aims & objectives

SIZE is a training course that aims to improve educators, youth leaders,
trainers and youth workers competences to strengthen soft skills of vulnerable
youth, supporting their autonomy and their healthy personal and professional
development.

The specific objectives of the Training course are the following:
1. to promote healthy life style and autonomy of vulnerable young people;
2. to strengthen soft skills of vulnerable young people, in order to be autonomous in
their personal and professional development;
3. to raise awareness about the importance of healthy life style among vulnerable
young people;
4. to enhance self-confidence of young people;
5. to handle stressful situations;
6. to use yoga, outdoor and breathing techniques in order to develop soft skills of
vulnerable young people;
7. to evaluate and recognize young people’s soft skills development, at the end of
extra-curricular activities.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Countries involved: Greece/Italy/Jordan/UK/Morocco/Egypt

Training methods used & main activities

Non-formal educational method where the participants are learning by doing.
- Interactive activities (story telling, team building, getting to know each other, film viewing and discussion based, group work)

Outcomes of the activity

Participants were introduced to different techniques that can help them in their work with youth such as: counselling and its use, yoga, outdoors challenges.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

- Getting to know each other and ice breaking activities
- Local realities of youth work made internationally
- How to use your senses, how to train active listening and how to boost focusing abilities.
- Reflecting on the presentation skills of the participants and helping to develop them.
- evaluation and wrap up.

I worked on this training for 7 days days as a full time trainer.
