Aims & objectives

The seminar aim consists in raising competence of participants by working out and realization of a youth policy on the basis of understanding of spirit, values, experience and resources of the Council of Europe.

Course objectives
 Explore principles, experiences and resources of Council of Europe in area of:
a. Youth participation
b. Youth policy
 Share experiences and practices from participants’ realities in the field of youth policy and youth participation
 Learn more about spirit, values, institution of Council of Europe
 Learn about Council of Europe youth policy (Agenda 2020), relevant documents (Charter on youth participation), main programs and priorities
 Elaborate strategies of involvement of youth parliamentarians in decision making processes and development partnership among participants
 Analyze the status and future of development of youth parliamentarism in the Council of Europe countries and the participation in democratic processes and structures
 Preparation of draft documents for creation Youth Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States (YIA CIS)
 Preparation of the project on creation and organization of International Youth Movement

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

26 participants represented the various organizations from 10 CIS countries, including 5 member states of the Council of Europe. Participants represented also various youth structures, as youth parliaments, Councils, and the youth organizations.

Outcomes of the activity

Participants of the seminar have chance to get understanding about the values of CoE, to touch democracy during meetings of PACE. They start process of establishing Youth Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States and International Youth Movement. The participants could learn what CoE does in field of European Youth Policy. They develop and improve competencies as future politics, including by non-formal education methods.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was full-time trainer with my colleagues Ljubov Lissina and Uljana Ivanova.

I worked on this training for 5 days days as a full time trainer.
