Scriptamanent

The training activity took place
in Terrassa, Spain
organised by La Vibria
21-26 April 2013

Aims & objectives

To share tools and methods for promotion of international volunteering. The program included workshops on different tecniques to stimulate young people to create their stories, not only by writing but also using video, theatre, origami, Kamishibai and even playing Dixit! The group also promoted Scriptamanent by interacting with local community during Sant Jordi celebrations in Terrassa.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The group was composed by two representatives of each partner organization from 7 European countries. The team was composed (more than me) by Dushko Talevski (MK), Mino Vicenti (IT) and Steven Craddock (UK).

Training methods used & main activities

The basic content of the training was a series of workshop on different tecniques to stimulate creation of stories connected with international volunteer experiences. Among the others, Theatre of the Oppressed, Kamishibai (traditional Japanese tecnique with drawings), card games and creative writing.

Outcomes of the activity

The final outcome was to plan local activities in the participating countries of the project Scriptamanent, in order to promote the project and foster participation of ex volunteers by writing stories and producing video materials as a testimony of their experience abroad as volunteers. At the end of the project a book was published. http://scriptamanentproject.eu/
