Safe 2 project - sexual safety standards in youth work

Aims & objectives

SAFE 2 is a continuation of activities devoted to issues of ensuring sexual safety in the context of youth work. Combining comprehensive sexual education, Wen-Do and anti-discrimination workshops and international experience on this issue, we want to create and promote a document that specifies the standards of sexual security in youth work.
The SAFE 2 project aims to provide young people with sexual safety during training, exchanges, and youth meetings in the context of knowledge, attitudes, awareness of existing stereotypes and discrimination.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Target group of this training was youth workers, youth leaders, trainers and coordinators of NGO`s working with youth. The countries involved were Poland, Ireland, Nederland, Turkey, Russia, Spain, Greece and Lithuania. Number of participants and people involved: 26.

Training methods used & main activities

All activities were based on informal educational methods: workshops / work group, using the Wen- Do methodology, games, team building, intercultural activities, planning activities and creating networks.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was a full time trainer and coordinator of this training, I was also designing a program of this training.

I worked on this training for 5 days as a full time trainer.
