TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Eelin Hoffström
The aim of the training was to provide the participants with tools for combating youth unemployment, especially in rural areas.
We had 8 partner countries (France, Finland, Hungary, Turkey, Estonia, Italy, Slovenia and Denmark) each one sending 3 participants. The participants were youth workers looking for methods of increasing employability among young people in their countries.
We used non formal learning methods in researching and understanding the employment situation n the participation countries, we used project development tools to start projects to combat the issues that lead into youth unemployment, and we used intercultural methods to understand the European context.
We had successful mapping of the current employment situation and the impact of education on it. The participants learnt about the different realities that the young people were facing across Europe and especially in Reunion Island.
I was in charge of developing the training programme and the educational methods. I also facilitated the majority of the activities.
