Training methods used & main activities

The training course was implemented via non-formal education methodologies, that ensured active participation, explorative and experiential learning and brought concrete results for the participants in the form of creation of guidelines for gender equality for their own organisation.
We engaged with methods like the Iceberg Model; group discussion after watching a video depicting the topic of sexism and gender roles; small group work; walk and talk and other approaches.

Outcomes of the activity

Participants got knowledgeable about the topic and reflected their own activities, projects and organosations from a new perspective.
Participants created guidelines for gender equality for their own organisation.

The training was a part of the international conference on the Importance of Gender equality, where there was space for networking with several Slovenian organizations, as well as getting to know the programme Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values, which places Gender equality and Gender Mainstreaming in high priority. Participants were equipped with new partnership prospects and insights inot funding opportunities.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was the main content trainer working with the group on the first three days so they got to know the topic and challenged themselves to really dig deep into their own practice in order to shift themselves and their organisations into a more gender diverse and gender inclusive way.

I worked on this training for 4 days as a full time trainer.
