TOY - Trainers Online for Youth

ReCharge Yourself was a 7 days training course that has been developed especially for people who work in the field of nonformal education. For trainers, youth workers, mentors, social workers - professionals from the youth field etc.
The main topic of the Training Course was self-motivation and self- empowerment.
With this program we aimed to support other trainers and NGOs in order to reduce stress and self-destruction during work and international programs and create a more effective way of living as a social / youth worker. The goal was also to share with the other trainers and youth workers the importance of self-motivation in the area of non-formal and lifelong learning education.
The main objectives of the project are:
- To learn and practice the new soft skills and practice the set of competencies of the trainers.
- To learn about self-motivation professionally and personally
- To promote sustainable living and healthy lifestyle
- To promote creativity in youth work by implementing new methods in education
In this project we were partners from 7 countries: the Netherlands, Italy, Romania, Spain, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary.
Some of the methods going to be used are:
- non-formal learning, experimental learning with some special method of creative recycling
- meditation, mindfulness practices, dance mandala
- simulations, outdoor activities, focus, NLP, living library, coaching and mentoring
As a result of the Training Course, participants taking part in our project were introduced to new and innovative methods of skills development in youth work, especially in connection with tackling burn out, self motivation and self empowerment methods. We put the focus on sustainble learning - participants learned to maintian their learning process, create a routine of learning.
Participants of the training course have a better insight on working with young people with different target groups and its' affects - it will enable them to improve consciousness, creativity, communication, design thinking, self empowerment and motivation in general- skills that they can use in their personal and professional lives as well.
They gained new attitudes towards their own profession and are now moreo motivated to build in the newly acquired knowledge and tools in their work with youngsters and to develop further projects in order to include young people more actively.
Moreover they will be able to transform this knowledge into their already existing NGOs , organizations and social enterprises. It will reduce stress level at their work place and make the work more enjoyable.
I was supporting the head trainers in the implementation of the Training course. I helped with the preparation of the program, adjusting it to participants' needs and I was facilitating some of the activities that happened within the framework of the Training Course. I also took part in the creation of the follow up activities and supporting participants during this period as well in order to have long term learning points.
