This seminar aims to be a platform in order to promote exchange of good and bad practice on how associations can contribute to changing the local and European reality by offering empowerment opportunities to young people and increase participation of young people; include local reality of the seminar venue in order to amplify and enlarge the local impact; explore through debate, discussions, presentations and reflections how activities done by associations at local level stimulate creativity, entrepreneurship and more employability for young people in specific; stimulate intercultural understanding and respect for cultural diversity within European contexto and explore the European context versus local context of each promoter involved
In the spirit of international partnerships and cooperation, the group and the team were the same. Participants/team were coming from Portugal, Austria, Romania, France, Slovenia, Poland. I was in charge of coordination and facilitation.
Plenary discussions, interactive lectures, presentations of good and bad practice, debates, vĂdeo and PowerPoint Presentations on the relevant themes, statement exercises to promote discussion and debate, work and think groups (e.g. by using the method 'Open Space Technology"), visit to local youth governmental department (discuss youth policy in relation to associations), energizers and icebreakers, informal moments promoting exchange of information and discussions
An increased awareness of the importance of NGOs in communities. a clearer link towards needs assessed in communities. A continuation of the partnership created in a variety of forms (also outsider of YiA/E+ Programme)
Responsible for the overall coordination and facilitation of the seminar, coordination of the logostic team once this was organised with full involvement of the rural village and present stakeholders (population, associations, local government).
