Aims & objectives

1. Understand the environmental, social, and economic impacts of mass tourism

2. Explore the concept of sustainable tourism

3. Learn about the concept of climate positivity in the context of youth mobilities

4. Identify and analyze greenwashing in tourism and youth mobilities

5. Compare real-world examples of both damaging and sustainable tourism practices

6. Reflect on personal and collective roles in achieving just and sustainable travel

Training methods used & main activities

During the activity I used non-formal learning methods that used the potential and skills of all participants by using a mix of solo, small group and plenary work. The methods included brainstorms, snowball methods for consensus finding, interactive presentations, fishbowl-style debate, treasure hunt-style activity for the participants to interact with meaningful elements of tourism around the venue, dragon dreaming method for systems thinking.
