Aims & objectives

„Re-Creating Europe in PEACE” is a six day training course on peace building.
The activity is based on holistic educational approach where the insight given into peace education is of high importance for acquiring competences needed to make each day of our lives to be without discrimination and violence. The activity will provide a possibility for young people, youth leaders, workers and volunteers to develop their abilities and skills to promote peaceful means of conflict transformations, starting from their inner peace to peace among individuals and groups.
This training course will empower the participants with peace educaiton tools and methods used in conflict management and conflict resolutionwith young people where they will be able to act for peaceful change in Europe.
Objective:
- To develop specific trainer competences related to work with conflict management;
- To give participants knowledge on peace building;
- To promote the Youth in Action programme as a tool for peace education;
- To develop and consolidate essential skills for trainers in non-formal education.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

On this TC we have representative from Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Turkey, Italy, Russia, Lithuania, Romania,Serbia and Albania.

Training methods used & main activities

The methodology will include communication based methods (interaction, dialogue, open discussions), activity based methods (sharing experience, practice and experimentation), socially focused methods (partnerships, teamwork, networking) and self directing methods (creativity, discovery, responsibility, action).
The overall character will be participative, pro active and interactive with a learner – centred educational approach, as recommended by Council of Europe for non formal education in youth work.

Outcomes of the activity

Critical pedagogy analyses of the concept of conflict,
How to deal with stereotype and prejudice,
How to make peace building in conflict situation,
Social exclusion Vs inclusion.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

To prepare all work shop together with another trainer, and deal with all topic included in Aim and objective.

I worked on this training for 6 days as a full time trainer.
