Aims & objectives

The project aimed to raise awareness about enviromental practices, connection with the nature and activities related to the sports outside. At the same time, it enhance competences such as cultural awareness, communication, leadership, and project management.

As a facilitator of the activity, I played a crucial role in guiding participants through the various sessions and activities. I designed and delivered sessions focused on cultural awareness, effective communication strategies, and best practices related with enviroment. My goal was to equip participants with practical tools and methodologies they could apply in their daily lifes. I emphasized the importance of fostering inclusive environments and promoting intercultural dialogue to create meaningful experiences for young people from different backgrounds.

Throughout the project, I facilitated discussions and group exercises aimed at enhancing participants' skills in leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving within the context of international youth exchanges. By sharing my experiences and insights, I aimed to inspire participants to apply their learning in real-world settings. My role also involved providing guidance and feedback to ensure that participants gained confidence in their abilities to facilitate different activities and feel confortable talking in public and guiding sessions.

Overall, my role as a facilitator contributed to the project's objective of create an open and safe enviroment for the participants to share their experiences, backgrounds and good practices related with the enviromental and sport topics.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The group comprised 43 participants from Czechia, Slovakia, Spain, Hungary, and Romania. The age group comprises people from 16 to 27 years old and coming from different genders, cultures, social, economic, and other backgrounds.

Training methods used & main activities

During the Youth exchange, I utilized various interactive and participatory methods to engage participants and enhance their learning experience. These included interactive workshops, group discussions, brainstorming sessions, role-playing activities, and case studies.

I also incorporated reflective exercises and team-building activities to promote self-awareness, continuous learning, and a sense of community. By using these diverse methods, I created a dynamic learning environment that catered to different learning styles, enhanced participants' skills, and fostered collaboration and mutual support within the group.

Outcomes of the activity

The success of the project was evident through positive participant feedback, which highlighted increased confidence and competence in facilitating intercultural youth exchanges. High levels of engagement and enthusiasm during sessions indicated the effectiveness of the methods used. Participants were able to apply their new skills and knowledge during practical exercises and role-playing activities, demonstrating their growth. The training also fostered strong networks among participants.

A dedicated project website was created to document the training activities, including detailed descriptions of the sessions, participant testimonials, and downloadable resources. Is called: Put on the outdoor glasses.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

As a member of the team, my role was multifaceted and essential to the success of the training activity. I was responsible for designing and delivering various sessions focused on enhancing participants' skills in cultural awareness, enviromental practices, communication, leadership, and soft skills.

My tasks included creating and implementing interactive workshops, facilitating group discussions, facilitating non-formal activities such as theater, and organizing brainstorming sessions to stimulate creativity and collaborative problem-solving, including also the organization of free time activities, intercultural nights, Study visits to the city in the free day and so on.

I worked on this training for 8 days as a full time trainer.
