Aims & objectives

The activity aimed to strengthen youth participation, media literacy, digital creativity and critical thinking through interactive learning, mentoring and international collaboration. The training addressed the growing need for young people to better understand digital communication, AI-related changes, content creation and responsible participation in the digital environment. The activity supported Pulse Z’s broader objectives of empowering young voices, promoting youth-led media initiatives and strengthening democratic participation and digital resilience among young people across Europe.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The activity brought together more than 120 young people, trainers, mentors, youth workers and communication professionals from different European countries participating in the Pulse Z initiative coordinated by JA Europe and partner organisations. The international composition of the group created opportunities for intercultural exchange, peer learning and collaboration between participants with different educational, professional and cultural backgrounds.

Training methods used & main activities

The activity used non-formal and participatory learning methodologies including interactive workshops, mentoring sessions, peer-learning activities, group work, practical communication exercises, brainstorming sessions and collaborative content creation. Participants explored practical examples related to digital communication, media literacy, storytelling, AI tools and youth participation, while actively contributing their own ideas and experiences throughout the process.

Outcomes of the activity

The activity strengthened participants’ confidence, communication skills and understanding of digital participation, media literacy and emerging technologies. Young participants developed practical competences related to storytelling, public communication, teamwork and responsible digital engagement. The mentoring and training activities contributed to stronger networking, collaboration and exchange of ideas between participants from different countries and sectors.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Supported participants in developing ideas, communication approaches and creative outputs, while contributing to the overall learning process through non-formal education methods, peer learning and international collaboration.

I worked on this training for 3 days as a full time trainer.
