Aims & objectives

The primary aim ofthis LGBTQI+ youth exchange between Ireland
and Greece is to create a supportive platform for young LGBTQI+

individuals from both countries to share experiences, build cross-
cultural understanding, and strengthen the global network of

LGBTQI+ youth advocates. Through collaborative activities,
discussions, and social experiences, this exchange will empower
participants to embrace theiridentities and promote inclusivity,
diversity, and equality within their communities.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

In this this 7 day youth exchange between
(Greece) and (Ireland), young people
in the LGBTQI+ community and their allies, will have a chance so meet
in the city of Thessaloniki, Greece and explore the concept ofIdentity
and LGBTQI+ rights through the cultural differences between the two
participating countries and gain a better understanding of each
others’ experiences.
Aged 15-25

Training methods used & main activities

FosterCultural Exchange andUnderstanding:
Provide LGBTQI+ youth from Ireland and Greece with the
opportunity to explore the cultural landscapes of both countries,
while fostering mutual understanding and respectfor diverse
cultural expressions within the LGBTQI+ community. Encourage
dialogue around the varying challenges faced by LGBTQI+ youth in
both countries, promoting empathy and global solidarity.

Empower andDevelop Leadership Skills:
Equip participants with the tools and confidence to become
leaders and advocates forLGBTQI+ rights,focusing on developing
activism, community-building, and advocacy skills through
workshops and collaborative projects.

Foster Enjoyable,Collaborative Experiences:
Encourage participants to build lasting friendships and create
memorable experiences through fun, interactive activities that
promote teamwork, social connection, and shared celebration of
diversity, within the Erasmus+ program framework.

Build Leadership andAdvocacy Skills:
Equip participants with the tools and knowledge to become
effective advocates forLGBTQI+ rights and equality within their
own communities. Host workshops and discussions that enhance
leadership skills,focusing on activism, policy influence, and
community-building.

Outcomes of the activity

Promote Personal Growth andConfidence:
Offer a safe and inclusive environmentfor youth to explore their
identities and develop greater self-awareness and confidence.
Create Fairy Tales on the topic through their perspectives.
