TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Jessica Reinsch
- To tackle issues of digitalization and develop accessible solutions together
- To discover how tools can be applied and utilized in everyday youth work.
- To explore ways on how to make activities for youth better in quality and more accessible.
- To develop critical and creative thinking related to technological development.
- To create awareness of opportunities and risks of digital media.
- To support participants to develop the competences to improve their digital youth world.
Target group: Youth workers, youth leaders working in youth centres or youth organisations of all levels (local to international), trainers and non-formal educators who are interested in digital education or in setting up projects on this topic, youth organisation managers from Erasmus+ Youth programme countries, Eastern Partnership countries
Team of Trainers: Dulio Santos (PT), Christina Schauer (AT), Alexandra Isaicul (MD), Jessica Reinsch (DE). NA officer involved Rita Bergstein (DE)
The training course consisted of an online and a residential part. The online days allowed for better needs analysis of the target group which laid the foundations for the residential programme.
During the residential part of the training, participants dived deeper into the topic of digital transformation in youth work, shared and explored different digital tools and began developing follow-up projects that could be implemented in their local contexts.
Participants took home knowledge about and skills in digital tools that can be used in their daily youth work. Together in small groups they invented a specific tool or a content based activity related to the topic of digital transformation.
I have been involved in the whole development of this training course: starting from the idea, coming up with a title, conceptualize and developing topic and programme in cooperation with co-trainers, writing drafts for the SALTO call, managing the logistics (booking the venue, catering arrangements etc.), writing the infopack, creating learning environment, facilitating sessions, reporting and dissemination.
