Aims & objectives

During this training the participants will increase their knowledge about:

- Why and How to use video in Education

- How to do engaging storytelling to disseminate our actions and reach a bigger audience and impact

- How to reach people with fewer opportunities through video

During the training course the participants will also:

- Improve their skills in planning, filming, editing and publishing videos online

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

After some cancellations (due to last minute closing of Slovenian airport) we had participants from:

Belgium, Italy, Romania, Czech Republic, Poland, Greece and Spain

Training methods used & main activities

This was a very experiential training with some technical theory sessions about camera, video theory and storytelling.

I will explain the activity about Storytelling:

Participants were taken outside blindfolded. Then they were introduced to the "Hero's journey" while the 3 facilitators helped them experience several sensations.

At the very end, they had to make a courage decision and jump or not. This was a very powerful and intense moment for some participants and the debriefing afterwords was brilliant.

This was connected to the way some video trigger some emotions and that's planned and engineered in advance, so we had to discover on which ways we can use images, message and sound to trigger a response on the audience.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was in charge of desiging the training programme, coordinating participant's organisations, delivering the programme together with Ruta Kronberga and logistics (bringing participants from the venue to bus stop on a rented van).

I worked on this training for 6 days as a full time trainer.
