"Peace by Piece" - Erasmus+ training for youth workers

Aims & objectives

The "Peace by Piece" training aimed at:
- equipping youth workers with skills and knowledge needed for transferring the fundamental values of peace and tolerance in an innovative way,
- promoting diversity, intercultural and inter-religious dialogue.
- promoting common values of freedom, tolerance and respect of human rights,
- social inclusion of marginalized groups,
- preparing card games which aim at promoting peace and tolerance.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The training group consisted of youth workers from Greece, Austria, Ukraine, Poland and Palestine. The group also included the participants with fewer opportunities, including participants with disabilities.

Training methods used & main activities

Main contents and activities of the project:
- mini-lectures - about how to convey values of peace and tolerance in board games,
- interactive discussions based on a circle technique,
- workshops - about technicalities of designing board games,
- case studies of collaborative board games,
- guided discussions and brainstorming (conflict resolution topics),
- preparing board games in smaller project groups,
- theatre activities,
- visit in a local community,
- designint the card game from scratch,
- presentations about participating countries and their culture.

Outcomes of the activity
