Aims & objectives

• To identify the qualities of an excellent teacher/trainer
• To identify issues facing teachers and trainers and how to resolve these
• To understand learning styles and how to use this information in the educational environment with students
and learners
• To understand the learning cycle and training models
• To understand the principles of adult learning
• To understand setting aims and objectives, lesson planning and training methodologies
• Design and present training sessions
• Dealing with difficult learners – a tool kit!
• To develop a teaching/training toolkit
• Create an action learning plan to take back to the workplace to continue the learning

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

TARGET AUDIENCE: Teachers (Pre-school, primary, secondary, vocational, adult, special needs); Teacher trainers; Careers officers, educational guides and counselors.
Participants from: UK, Belgium, Lithuania, Sweden and Czech Republic.

Training methods used & main activities

The methods used during the training are as follows: presentations, individual and pair exercises, group work and reflection, brain storming, peer support, games.

Outcomes of the activity

Participants developed needed skills and knowledge to facilitate sessions/workshop.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

- session development for 5 working days
- Delivering sessions
- Observe each participant (e.g. behavioural patterns, group dynamics, interaction, emotional state etc)
- Ensure that your participants stay in between the comfort- and panic –zone (stretching/learning zone).
- facilitate the process of fostering their own skills
- developing program content
- developing workbook and participant's additional materials

I worked on this training for 5 days days as a full time trainer.
