Aims & objectives

The aim of the training was to introduce the different stages of the Ladder of Participation and the forms to pass over from lower to upper stage through the perspective of crucial youth issues. The focus of the training was on the first three stages of the Ladder of Participation – Manipulation, Decoration and Tokenism.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

An international group of 30 participants coming from Austria, Cyprus, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Spain, Romania and Bulgaria.

Training methods used & main activities

Non-formal educational tools were used including games, icebreakers, working groups, presentations, simulations, reflection, role games, field work, meeting with local authorities, outdoors activities, etc.

Provided information on the Ladder of Participation
Increased understanding of the first three stages of the Ladder
Shared good practices and case studies

Designing, delivery and reporting of the training.
