TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Zóra Molnár
The main aim is to open up youth work towards young people with a disability:
To share and inspire with a diversity of local youth work practices both from Switzerland and the participating countries
To discover tools and models for more disability inclusive youth work approaches
To reflect on the approaches of youth workers and discuss about successes and challenges they face
To create networking opportunities between participants
To explore the opportunities of the European Youth Programmes and beyond, for future collaborations
The group was composed of 20+ participants from Erasmus+ Youth Programme countries
Trainers:
Morgaine Green &Zóra Molnár
The activity was based on the principles of nonformal education and peer learning, including but not limited to roundtable discussion, world café and visits to Swiss organizations.
The most important learning outcomes for the event visit were the following:
participants realized and reflected on where their organization currently is on the scope of inclusion of people with disabilities
numerous different perspectives of the topic were taken into consideration (e.g.: policy-related issues, challenges of running inclusive community spaces)
participants learned how to start the inclusion of people with disabilities in small steps
the action plans that were created include the roadmap how to take those first steps once they get back home
I was working as a fulltime trainer for the entire duration of the event. I took part actively in the preparation of the event and the co-creation of the program. I was also responsible for preparing and facilitating particular sessions.
It was a pleasure to work with Zóra. She brought both professional expertise and personal experience to the team and guided the group with reliability, clarity, and empathy. Her inclusive approach and deep understanding of the topic made the training especially impactful.
