Aims & objectives

To disseminate the European Solidarity Corps to rural areas in need and facing challenges
To discover, collect and share good practices of solidarity actions in Europe
To give the chance to participants in order to express the challenges they face concerning their area and create an alliance to face them through solidarity.
To show the benefits of the Corps programme in rural areas.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

22 participants were either representatives of municipalities from rural areas of Greece (members or not of the strategic action Europe Goes Local) or representatives of youth organizations in rural areas.

3 facilitators from Lithuania and Greece and Hellenic NA staff member to support the course.

Training methods used & main activities

5 training sessions with content and interactive content on the HOP online learning platform focused on:
- Welcome to this course
- Essentials of ESC
- Examples of ESC projects in rural areas
- Challenges of rural areas
- Self-assessment and evaluation

2 online meeting with participants and 1 online webinar with experts.

Outcomes of the activity

According to participants evaluation and feedback all objectives were achieved to a very good extent, with all responses related to all objectives being evaluated on the positive side of the spectrum and their high achievement.

Design, create and facilitate this online training activity in cooperation with other team members.

I worked on this training for 10 days as a full time trainer.
