On arrival training for EVS volunteers

Aims & objectives

To share with volunteers basic information about culture, language, rights and responsibilities, projects, Youth in Action program and different opportunities to participate and be included in the community.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Volunteers from Italy, France, Spain, Latvia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Germany, Romania, Poland, Africa - Kenya and Australia. They are on their EVS projects in Slovakian NGOs.

Training methods used & main activities

Role playing, simulation game Year of my life, team building activities - Rescue mission, discussion, presentation, performance, PPP, statements, networking

Outcomes of the activity

The volunteers are better prepared to survive in Slovakia during their projects, better understand ICL, history of Slovakia. They prepared an action plan of personal development and learning process.
