Aims & objectives

 To introduce to the host region, support to adapt to cultural and personal challenges.
 To provide space to get to know each other and support building a network.
 To provide time and space for planning the coming months and to develop a personal learning
 To exchange first experiences and reflections of hosting projects.
 To introduce EVS philosophy, as well as the rights and responsibilities of EVS Actors.
 To provide guidance on conflict prevention and crisis management.

- Welcoming of participants and introduction of the program
- Getting to know each other, Ice breakers and team building activities
- Project presentations, Zoom-out evaluating their so far EVS experience (project activities,
home and friends, colleagues, free time and cultural discoveries, local community, etc.)

- Reflection on what’s working so far and what’s there to be improved, bridging the gap
- EVS Philosophy, Who is Who and Support - Structures in EVS
- Intercultural Learning and Cultural Peculiarities
- Crisis cycle, conflict prevention, and non-violent communication
- Learning, learning styles, learning to learn
- Next steps after OAT, project and future planning
- Evaluation & Closure

Outcomes of the activity

Integrate European volunteers to local society, introduce local culture and discuss their challenges and give the opportunity to share their volunteer projects.
