Aims & objectives

The training course was a ‘train the
trainers’ activity and it was funded by the European Commission through the Key Action 1
“Learning mobility of individuals” within the Erasmus+.
The training course took place in Bitola, Macedonia from 14th to the 123rd of October 2014 and it
was open for current and future youth workers with an aspire to become trainers, facilitators
and other NFL practitioners.
The main aim was to enable participants to explore and actually understand the concept
and factors behind non-formal learning, and thus to competently design, facilitate and
debrief existing and novel non-formal learning sessions and opportunities.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The target group were future trainers, who were willing and able to run educational activities for youth based on the values of the EU. Moreover, youth workers who just started in this field of the job. In this training there was no age limit, however, most of the participants were from 24 to 30 years old.

Training methods used & main activities

. During the 7 days of the training course, participants were involved in exercises, group work, creative workshops, role-play, simulations and other non-formal activities. These activities provided examples on how the non-formal method can be approached by using the principles of learning by experience and created a learning space for participants to design their own methods of non-formal education.

Outcomes of the activity

Participant as an outcome of the training created 4 indeptended workshops, all theoretical knowledge gained on this training was incorporated into this session.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was 8 days full time trainer, together with my collegue Ivan Tomasic, we created the program we conduct the session and wrote the final report.

I worked on this training for 8 days as a full time trainer.
