Non Formal e-Learning

The training activity took place
in Loja, Granada
organised by Diagonal Spain
8 to 16 November 2014

Aims & objectives

The NFe-learning project has several steps to its implementation (contact event, training course, job shadowing and online seminar).
Aims: Acquisition of skills for the development and use of learning platforms (Moodle), applications and complementary tools, and their usability in non-formal education.

At this time we were in the phase of training which objectives were:
- Make known the Moodle e-learning platform: main features, functions and utilities
- Empowering young people in the use of free software tools that can be used in a training platform
- Creating and training the profile of the "NFe-TUTOR"
- Creating active and participatory methodologies adapted to e-learning and non-formal education
- To know the importance of collaborative learning in e-learning
- Implement knowledge acquired in the training by participants
- Share experiences through Moodle.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The group was composed by a total of 24 participants, 4 participants from each country (Spain, Portugal, Poland, Italy, Estonia and Greece) aged between 18-35 years.

Trainers team:
Irene Caro Campaña: Spain
Patricia Hernández: Spain
Ana Rita Seirôco: Portugal

Training methods used & main activities

During the training sessions was promoted a collaborative and participatory methodology creating creative spaces, assuming that participants have experience and expertise in both ICT and non-formal education, so they were encouraged all the time to share their knowledge.
Each participant uploaded materials, creating a space for knowledge sharing and learning.
All the learning spaces were designed within the context of non formal education, based on energizers, working in groups, debates and round-tables, sharing experience with experts in the field, e-forums, creating their own materials for pilots promotion, role plays..

Outcomes of the activity

During the Training Course:
- Participants presented their progress and ideas on the pilot course to be implemented and will participate actively contributing to the good development of the course,
- Participants had spaces to work in groups in creating the pilot course.
- Participants prepare the inter-cultural dinner and cultural role plays.

After de Training Course:
- Participants are developing two calls of pilot course and prepare the relevant reports,
- Participants will participate in the Moodle platform, and tutoring young people who will take part in the “Job Shadowing mobility”.

Long Term Benefits:
We believe this TC will add value for partnerships to introduce new models and concepts of training and communication between
different partners in a more professional manner but without neglecting the idea of non-formal education which will facilitate
relationships and a new way of sharing knowledge.
Creating a new profile can also help provide job opportunities for young people.
