The objectives of the project were
• To enhance knowledge related to happiness and its benefits
• To provide relevant tools and practices
• To inspire further work on the topic
The training course targeted youth workers from Cyprus, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy and France.
The training course was based on non-formal learning methodologies and included (among others) the following:
Self-reflection (activities in which we spend time alone with ourselves thinking, assessing, writing and planning)
Acts of kindness (activities in which we offer to others)
Light physical exercising (activities in which we work with our bodies)
Meditation (activities through which we practice to live in the present moment)
Nature based activities (activities in which we spend time and work outside in the nature)
Work with peers (activities in which we share, talk, listen, empower)
Cooking (activities in which we prepare food, at least once during the training)
The outcomes of this activity have been outstanding, triggering both personal and professional growth of participants. In particular, participants developed understanding about the theory of happiness and positive psychology, they enriched their toolbox of activities in the framework of positive non-formal education and they are inspired to work further in the topic
