NGO-Do it yourself TC 3 (Financial Management)

Aims & objectives

1) To support financial sustainability of YNGOs in participating countries, mostly by showing and sharing different financial opportunities for the youth sector in Europe,
2) To develop competences of youth workers in the fields of planning, executing and reporting finances of their YNGOs, including different forms of fundraising: project aplications writing, preparing for maintaining sponsorship relations with other sectors, or third sector networking.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, FYROM, Greece, Germany, Poland, Italy, Portugal, Romania.

Training methods used & main activities

Workshops, presentations and simulations on:
- budgeting
- different sources for finances
- applications writing
- selling ideas
- fundraising in different forms
- networking.

Outcomes of the activity

Specific knowledge in fields of YNGO finances management and fundraising opportunties for youth sector; skills necessary to manage finances and organise fundraising; attitudes of ethics and thoroughness in finances.
Material outcomes: handouts, education materials and guidelines shared on e-platform.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Preparation of information materials, design of non-formal learning sessions, implementation and evaluation of activities, reporting and disseminating results, help with self-reflection of participants.
