TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Clair BROWN
The aims of this training – in line with the KMST strategy – are:
• To develop holistic understanding and knowledge of newcomers about the European Youth Programmes and about the opportunities/links between different parts of the programmes
• To develop the competences of newcomers to link the implementation of the programmes with the values and overall objectives of the programmes themselves and EU youth policy
The specific objectives of the training are:
• To enhance the newcomers’ understanding of the framework of the European Youth Programmes and their place within the network.
• To allow the newcomers to become familiar with the network and their role in this context.
• To stimulate cooperation on European level.
• To stimulate self-reflection within a non-formal learning environment.
National Agency Staff who have recently joined (preferably having experienced one deadline)
Lots of reflective activities, challenging newcomers to consider the values of the programme. We offer participants an opportunity to consider their values and those of their NA. We consider the journey staff took to arrive to this role and also their future work in the agency, specifically concentrating on values and ethos of the programme.
Methods are participative, interactive and often fun. I work with a very nice team of JINT staff and co-trainers.
The staff training for newcomers is not introducing in detail the Programmes or its Actions with rules and criteria; neither does it provide in-depth information on procedures, financial management or IT-tools. These topics are covered either by other trainings from the KMST or at national level.
Expected Learning Outcomes are:
• This training course gives the opportunity to new colleagues to jump into this network and create their own network.
• This training course is constructed in a way toget a notion of the bigger picture of thenetwork of national agencies (NAs), all the stakeholders within the network, the relationtowards the European Commission (and the Units involved) and how to cooperate within thisnetwork.
• To understand the European Youth Programmes as an instrument for the European YouthPolicy, the different Strategies implemented within the network that we use to work oncommon values.
• To work/reflect over competences needed as an NA staff officer within your role also in relation with your colleagues in the network
This is a trainer pool of 4 I am currently the only member who has been there for 10 years and I have experienced three different pools of colleagues
I highly recommend Clair as a trainer. Over nearly a decade of collaboration, she has consistently demonstrated her expertise and dedication. Clair's passion for inclusion shines through in her training approach. She's great at working with others in a team and is good at understanding team dynamics, finding her role within a team, and keeping everything running smoothly. She is good at guiding a group through their learning journey, providing clear guidance and support along the way. In a nutshell, it has been a great pleasure working with her.
