National Agency TCA officers meeting 2015 (education and training)

The training activity took place
in Tallinn, Estonia
organised by Archimedes Foundation (Estonian E+ NA) and Romanian NA for Erasmus+
27 - 30th of May 2015

Aims & objectives

The main aim of the activity was to develop a common action plan for the Erasmus+ National Agencies dealing with education and training in order to set up relevant TransNational Cooperation Activities (TCA).

This event was the first of its kind and it mirrored the similar event for Erasmus + National Agencies dealing with youth.

Transnational Cooperation Activities (TCA) encompasses a range of events, seminars and workshops, which enable Erasmus+ National Agencies (NAs) to collaborate and share best practice across Europe. The overall aim of the activities is to improve the quality and impact of the Erasmus+ programme at a systemic level.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The event was initiated by Archimedes Foundation (Estonian E+ NA) represented by Hannelore Juhtsalu and Romanian NA for Erasmus+ represented by Andrei Popescu.
In the program there were involved also representatives from the European Commission (Sylwia Sitka, desk officer), SALTO Training and Cooperation (Udo Teichman) and other NAs (Siim Värv from Estonia and Khalid Miah from United Kingdom).

There were present 60 NA representatives from XX countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Finland, France, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, FYR Macedonia, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom.

Training methods used & main activities

Facilitated discussions and working groups in order to settle and debate on topics needing clarifications, sharing experience in organizing events, challenges and benefits for the NAs in organizing such events.

Idea market to identify common needs for transnational activities, collect and build the action plan containing relevant TCA events to be planed

Open space technology in order to share themes and ideas and to experess interest on relevant common areas.

Good practice presentations from several NAs based on successful events organized up to date.

Outcomes of the activity

By the end of the activity there was built an action plan with a time-line for 50 TCA planned events.

Also there were identified the common needs of the NAs related to the following topics (and events to be organized around them):
o mobility projects
o strategic partnerships
o adult education
o school education
o vocational training
o cros-sectorial activites
o dissemination and exploitation of results
o evaluation

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Over-all facilitation and animation of the group
Kicking off the project market process
Act as host for the open-agenda
Preparatory activities and preparing the agenda as a representative of the Romanian NA together with Hannelore Juhtsalu from the Estonian NA

I worked on this training for 2 days as a full time trainer.
