Aims & objectives

AIMS
- To to improve the capacity of the local NGOs in rural areas using NFE methods and promoting the E+ Program as tool for empowerment.
- To focus on inclusion for youngsters who comes from a fewer opportunities
- To create a local and international platform where direct and indirect beneficiaries can be more involved abd benefit from the activities that are offered by European commission
- To promote and support of youth development in the frame of agritourism emerges from both potential as a driver of youth and employability.
- To raise awareness about relationship between agritourism and the socially oriented dimension of environmental sustainability as a tool for youth in the area of protection of a shared local heritage within local communities

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Participants: 20 Participants 5 per partner organization.
Target Group: youth workers and leaders aged 18+ Preferably to be including youth with rural background.

Countries were
1. Germany
2. Albania
3. Montenegro
4. Italy

Extra individuals were from Brazil, Pakistan and kyrgyzstan.

Training methods used & main activities

TC My Green Path
Training format will be provided by contribution of all partners based on the topic and expertise of each organization.

The TC will involve a total of 20 youth workers and leaders from partner organizations based on a national call. The activity program will focus on providing participants with knowledge, methodologies and Non-Formal Education tools to locally spread skills and attitudes necessary to have more focus on environment sustainability and how can it be used to grow and develop Agri-Business.

Presentation of the TC;
Ice Breaking Games;
Team Building; Introducing the concepts: Exploring the concept of sustainability in its different dimensions;
Salto Environmental Workshop;
Evaluation group.

Presentation: Challenges and opportunities for sustainability in Agri-Business;
SWOT Analysis: Environmental conditions in participants’ countries and regions;
Salto Environmental Workshop;
Debate: Is sustainability a building block to business? Why? Why not);

Presentation of national policies of environmental sustainability in the business field;
Presentation of Best Practices in sustainable Agritourism from partner countries;
Debate: What are the competitive advantages of sustainable Agritourism for marginalized rural areas and youngsters?

Study visit to a local sustainable Agritourism business (Jugendfarm Moritzhof);
Group exercise: Elaborate a National Policy to promote sustainable Agri-Business;
Salto Social Entrepreneurship Workshop;

Peer review and Discussion of National Policies elaborated the day earlier;
Presentation: How to write a Business Plan in Agri-Tourism;

Elaboration of NFE tools to spread awareness and competences of sustainable Agri-Business among youngsters;
Elaborating second draft of project Manual;

Elaborating second draft of project Manual;
Official Closing and delivery of certificates;
Final Evaluation of the TC;

Methodology: Non-Formal Education methods comprising Ice-Breakers, Team Building activities, Roundtables, Simulations, Workshops, Case-Studies, Team-work aimed at producing NFE methodologies aimed at spreading Agritourism competences among youngsters, Team-work aimed to finalize the second section of “Agritourism as a tool for evolvement” Manual.
Products: Second draft version of the “Agritourism as a tool for evolvement” Manual with the NFE tools produced by participants integrated.
Reports: Feedbacks from participants, Evaluation forms to be sent to partners and kept for final report.

Outcomes of the activity

Results Achieved during the TC:
- Good quality NFE tools created by participants due to the efficiency of the learning and experimenting process they went through during the TC.
- The participants came up with some ideas that after reviewing it led us to
1. One Potential KA1 Youth Mobility project discussing deeply the characteristics of social enterprises, CSR funding and social entrepreneurship focus.
2. One Capacity building in the field of youth project to add the ideology of social entrepreneurship into the Western Balkans countries due to the lack of civil society work and the need of the community for better life standards.
3. One Mega youth exchange project that includes 60 participants from EU plus south Mediterranean and WB group to exchange good practices of youth work and how to enhance it with lack of funding opportunities on a local level.
4. 4 Business models about agritourism between an APP for agritourism booking, Rabbit farm and vertical farming, a winery where it has all the very old traditional recipes, and seedling selling business.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

My Personal Tasks as trainer were taking care of the activities and management of the flow of the sessions and delivering the knowledge and facilitate the activities about.
- ICE Breakers and Team Buildings;
- What is NFE, FE, IF;
- Social Entrepreneurship characteristics and most known examples of social entrepreneurs and their achievements;
- Business model canvas;
- Idea creation and social enterprises business models;
- Erasmus Plus presentation and potential project ideas facilitation.

All this were my responsibilities to make sure they understood the concepts and manage to transform the tips and theories into practice to share among themselves and get an outcome.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
