The goal of the project is to develop the competences of 36 young people aged 18-23 coming from RO, GE, LT and ES in the field of inclusivity and diversity by the end of the project.
Specific objectives:
O1: Increase the competences of the 36 youngsters aged 18-23 coming from RO, GE, LT, ES to demonstrate understanding of the cultural background and customs of other participants until the end of the project.
O2: Reduce biases and prejudices among the 36 young people aged 18-23 from RO, GE, LT, and ES by increasing their ability to recognize and critically reflect on stereotypes through intercultural activities and facilitated discussions by the end of the project.
O3: Enhance the active citizenship and advocacy skills of the 36 young people aged 18-23 from RO, GE, LT, and ES by engaging them in discussions and workshops on inclusive practices by the end of the project.
The project includes a total of 36 participants - 9/country, 16 of them facing fewer opportunities. We will strive for an equal number of males and females at the level of the whole group, and equal as much as possible at the level of each group.
Non-formal methods used: learning by doing, workshops, role play and simulations, creative expression through dance, world coffee discussions, speed dating, peer learning, storytelling, reflection, dance and free movement.
Based on these findings, we defined our target group as young people aged 18 to 23 who demonstrated an eagerness to address the following learning needs:
-Need for interaction with peers from different cultures to better understand, appreciate, and respect diverse cultural backgrounds.
-Develop skills for effective communication in intercultural settings, like overcoming fears of misunderstandings or cultural faux pas.
-Learn how to understand the experiences and viewpoints of people from other cultures, creating social bonds.
-Learn how to adjust behaviors and attitudes to engage in diverse social settings.
-Build teamwork skills specifically for working in multicultural environments.
-Navigate cultural conflicts and collaborating inclusively.
-Understand the barriers faced by marginalized groups, both locally and across Europe, and learning how to contribute to a more inclusive society.
-Develop self-assurance to actively participate in intercultural exchanges and be proactive in engaging with diverse individuals.
-Strengthen critical thinking to question stereotypes and promote positive attitudes toward inclusivity and diversity.
