MORE Training the Trainers

Aims & objectives

This project aimed to implement an educational tool among European social workers to increase the positive resolution of conflicts through understanding cultural differences, active listening, and negotiation skills.

The specific goals of the project were:

- to analyze the phenomenon of conflict management at any level: personal and/or professional, local, national and international;
- to lay the foundation for better intervention in conflicts on local and international levels;
- to help out for a better understanding of the educational consequences of these interventions;
- to provide educational insights into practical tools, reflections on proactive methods, and exchange of good practices with Non-formal education methods;
- to increase international cooperation: networking and advocating, to create the best condition for mutual understanding;
- to test an educational tool to analyze the conflict situation and improve the soft skills needed during the conflict situation.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The target group of the activity included 30 youth workers, teachers, trainers, and educators aged 25 and over, belonging to 7 European organizations. They were individuals actively involved in working with young people between the ages of 13 and 30 in various contexts such as schools, NGOs, associations, and youth centers.

The activity involved participants from the following countries: Poland, Spain, Cyprus, Austria, Lithuania, and Hungary. These participants represented their respective countries and organizations in the project. The inclusion of participants from multiple European countries brought together diverse perspectives and experiences, enriching the collaborative learning environment. The activity aimed to enhance the participants' theoretical knowledge and practical skills in conflict management, enabling them to better serve the young people they worked with.

Outcomes of the activity

The Educational tool MORE was played in 6 countries and tested with more than 80 young people with the support of the youth workers.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was a co-facilitator during the training course for all days with my colleagues Desiree Descisciolo.

I worked on this training for 9 days as a full time trainer.
