Aims & objectives

It allows young participants who are doing the ESC in Spain to evaluate their activity so far. Participants meet other participants who are volunteering in the same country, exchange experiences, share their learning, and reflect on their future after this experience.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The target group of the Mid-Term Evaluation was 120 participants from 18 to 30 years, coming from different European Union countries and other associated countries, who are doing right now long-term volunteering through ESC in different regions of Spain.

Training methods used & main activities

We focused on Non-formal activities, such as reflection games, debates, intercultural fairs, different teambuilding games, treasure hunts, theater of the oppressed, and some dynamics to energize the group and others to introduce and meet each other such as speed dating related to the topic of the activity.

Outcomes of the activity

We made a final evaluation form through the participants that had excellent results, in addition to those that can be seen through the links #mividatraeselCES #injuve.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

My role in the team was as a trainer, carrying out the activities of the mid-term evaluation of the volunteers, as well as the daily evaluation part and other activities to energize the team, such as the intercultural fair or the theme evening.

I worked on this training for 5 days as a full time trainer.

Testimonial of the reference person

Ana Sanchez participated in the ESC mid-term evaluation for MArch 20204. She undertook training duties as part of the group that manages this event on behalf of the Spanish National Agency (INJUVE). Concretely, she was assigned a group of 20 volunteers currently in the ESC program, for whom she facilitated all of the 4-day seminar´s reduced group activities. In addition to this she also some of the activities held in an open plenary format, where she addressed 123 volunteers, who were participating in the seminar. All of this she brought an amazing energy and perspective that served to engage and enhance the overall delivery of the training. She has proven to be a very skilled trainer, with a great ability to command attention, and contribute to all aspects of the training delivered with preparation work (practical and administrative), activities during the activity and the post-training work.
