European Solidarity Corps volunteers who are mid-way through their ESC activity in Luxembourg. Participants were from different countries (Germany, Spain, Turkey, Latvia, etc.)
Non-formal training methods: group building activities, experiential learning exercises, group discussions, simulations, treasure hunt, etc.
Expected learning outcomes:
▪ Participants have personally assessed the activity so far and reflected on the scope of their activities
▪ Participants shared personal experiences (learning new skills and competences, being part of community life, living within a different culture, using the language)
▪ Participants have had the opportunity to identify problems, difficulties, conflicts faced or about to be faced and consequently received satisfying support and clues on the ‘next steps’ to solve these problems
▪ Participants worked on developing/improving the activities they are involved in ▪ Participants received information and guidance on opportunities they could be involved in after the period of activity
▪ Participants understood how to use EU level recognition tools, such as Youthpass and Europass, to identify and document individual learning outcomes
▪ Participants received information about the Participant Report to be filled-in at the end of their service
I was one of the two trainers on this activity. I was actively involved in designing the training activities as well as delivering the full program.
