Aims & objectives

- Help participants understand better the benefits of diversity and inclusion;
- Diminish some of the stereotypes and prejudices participants have and help build counternarratives to them;
- Help participants understand the dangers of discrimination;
- Create further partnerships in this network.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The event was a trilateral cooperation, and the group had 24 participants from Romania, Slovenia, and Finland.

Training methods used & main activities

Among the methods we used: theatre of the oppressed, wheel of privilege, counternarratives, graphic facilitation, painting & drawing, boardgames, music & music therapy, cooking classes, case studies.
We helped participants understand diversity by referring to music genres, music subcultures, and music in general.

Outcomes of the activity

We applied focus groups and surveys among participants before, during, and after the activity. All of them identified themselves as more empathetic and open-minded at the end, with higher openness towards new cultures, subcultures, groups, ideas, etc.
