Mediterranean Stories

Aims & objectives

The main purpose of our project is to contribute to the prevention of radicalization and increasing prejudice and conflict through common understanding, intercultural interaction and dialogue between Mediterranean countries using history as a tool. The goal is social interaction and friendship between peers in different EU and Mediterranean countries, mutual understanding without language barriers and enrichment of human relations.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Participants came from France, Greece, Italy, Turkey, Italy, and Spain. Disadvantaged participants, who had no chance to join international activities were the priority target group of the project.

Training methods used & main activities

Non-formal education methods were used during the program. Group discussions about the cultural similarity, storytelling to show local stories, drama activities to visualize the story, and digital tools to write new stories.

I was the main facilitator of the project, with the help of 2 team leaders.

I worked on this training for 9 days days as a full time trainer.
