Aims & objectives

"MARKERS" aims to improve youth workers/youth leaders ability to support the ideation process of young people by using visual thinking and visual facilitation
tools, which result in more engaging and attractive project concepts.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The group was formed by 26 youth workers/leaders and teachers/educators from Norway, Slovakia, Malta, Romania, Portugal, Spain, Estonia, Sweden and Poland..

Training methods used & main activities

The training was based on non-formal learning methodology and the experiential learning idea.
Methods used were participatory and designed to be learner-centered, most of the work being
done through experience and participating in group work, discussions, practical exercises,
visualization methods, visual thinking development, etc.

Outcomes of the activity

Apart from the enriched skillset and toolboxes of participants, the project set two main tangible results:

a) The set of “Mood cards” that can be used for reflection and group dynamics and
b) A set of 6 Visual Dictionaries on relevant topics in the youth work field (Active citizenship and
civic engagement; Entrepreneurship and employability; Environmental sustainability;
Intercultural, intergenerational and interreligious communication; Social inclusion and equality;
Mental and physical well-being).
