Aims & objectives

Main theme: Entrepreneurship.
Main aim: Acquisition of Entrepreneurial competences (knowledge, skills and attitudes) in order to improve professional development and employability.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Participants: 29 people from 13 countries.
4 trainers, one from Belgium and 3 from Cyprus

Training methods used & main activities

The training activity was based on the Business Model Canvas, a popular strategic management and entrepreneurial tool. The participants also used online tools to create Landing Pages to showcase their business ideas. All working activities aimed at fostering intercultural learning and exchange between participants from diverse backgrounds. Methodology included simulation games, role play, plenary debates, interactive lectures, audio-visual presentations, small and large group discussions, reflection groups, self- assessment and more. The training was based on learning processes stimulating creativity, active participation and initiative (entrepreneurial spirit).

Outcomes of the activity

Development of entrepreneurial skills necessary to succeed in the creation of a business/ start-up/ social enterprise/organisation.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Anna Dalosi was the Educational Adviser of SEAL CYPRUS in this project. She designed the working program and she delivered the sessions:
-Games and activities to get to know each other (Ice- breakers, name- games and warm- up activities) and introduction to the training. Overview of the training program, the objectives and the teams.
- Set up of common rules/ creating a common contract with agreed rules
- Learning agreements
- Group-building activities (Confidence building, leadership and group dynamics in order to gain knowledge and experience of decision making, to experience the role of a leader and to experience teamwork).
- Motivation and empowerment.
- "The perfect pitch" workshop, parts I & II. Aim: to develop the skill to sell ideas and persuade others in a short period of time (ie in an elevator). Tools: role- play and video recording.
- Visibility with the use of Digital Marketing & Social Media (introduction, importance, benefits, target groups, guidelines, simulation, good practices).
- Evaluation (Reflection Groups, Mid– Term, Final).

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
