Aims & objectives

RECOGNITION AND PROMOTION OF VALUE-BASED YOUTH WORK!

 exploring and discussing the concepts of values in our work (eg inclusion, participation, volunteerism, diversity, …) and to compare the local realities

 building up competences (skills, knowledge and attitudes) of the participants in the areas of:
- social marketing
- image building
- debating and persuading
- advertisement and promotion
- media strategy
- working with journalists
- web 2.0 and video-blogging
- campaigning and public actions

 to apply these competences and tools directly to the specific cases of the represented organisations, and to develop respective long-term strategies and working plans

 assessment of best practices and common pitfalls

 to explore how to strengthen impact, visibility, multiplying effects, and exploitation & dissemination of results in Youth in Action projects

 to ensure and support action planning for future projects and co-operations with a focus on the promotion and recognition of our value-based youth work and East-West co-operation

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

24 participants from 15 different countries (Eu + EECA)
Team: 3 trainers (HU, IT, AT), 2 support persons (LV, AR)

Training methods used & main activities

The whole toolbox of non-formal education: energizers, working groups, plenary debates, simulations, lab-phases, various tools for assessment, reflection and evaluation, drama methods, ...

- raised competences of the participants in the area of promotion and PR
- various blogs and videos
- follow-up projects
