Aims & objectives

The aim of the project was to increase the competencies of people working with young people (youth workers, youth leaders) in the field of social inclusion through the
introduction of new tools. The specific objectives of the project, which are in line with the objectives of the Erasmus + program are:
- increase awareness of the problems of social inclusion that arise in working with young people
- exchange experiences and realities of the countries participating in the project
- develop the knowledge, skills and abilities of people working with young people needed to promote learning about social inclusion through
presentation of a new tool for youth work (professionalization of youth work)
- understand how to encourage and support young people to be more inclusive
- raise the quality of work with young people in the local / national and European context

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

There were 27 participants from a total of 9 countries: Croatia, Armenia, Turkey, Latvia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Ukraine, Greece and Portugal.

Training methods used & main activities

Non-formal methods were used such as: role playing, simulation, brainstorming, experiental learning, creativity, veil of ignorance.

Outcomes of the activity

The results of the training taught a new tool for working with young people in the field of inclusion "Veil of Ignorance", developed 3 new project ideas, trained 27 people working
with young people and strengthened 9 organizations
The effect we achieved is as follows:
Organizations involved in the project:
- Increased ability to work at EU / international level: better governance skills
- enhanced cooperation with partners from other countries;
- better quality of preparation,
- innovative and better way of working towards target groups
- increase the qualifications of their members, volunteers and employees who participated in the project in the project
management
- more effective action for the benefit of local communities
- better methods and practices for working with young people in order to actively involve young people and / or include disadvantaged groups position, etc.
- readiness to include new methods in everyday activities
Participants:
- greater competencies related to their professional profile (teaching, training, youth work, etc.);
- better understanding of practices, policies and systems in education, training or youth work in different countries;
- increased ability to initiate change
- better quality of their work and activities for the benefit of young people and volunteers;
- better understanding and responding to social, linguistic and cultural diversity;
- increased ability to solve the problems of disadvantaged people;
- increased support for and promotion of youth mobility activities
- more opportunities for professional development and career advancement;
- greater motivation and satisfaction in everyday work.
Other target groups, associations, people working with young people:
- greater awareness of the European project and EU values;
- greater motivation to participate in future (formal / non-formal) education or training after
periods of mobility abroad.
- more active participation in society
- better understanding of the problem of inclusion
